Also, to give you an idea of what I'll be watching this weekend, I'll just leave this here.
Cheers!
How was the atmosphere in Cardiff on International Rugby Weekend? It should have been quite lively today with Wales playing Ireland at the Millenium Stadium even though Wales lost. Enjoy your stay in Wales.

Hi Erin
ReplyDeleteYour old Aunt Margaret here. Just received an e-mail from one of my English cross stitching magazines
they mentioned St. Davids Day on March 1st. Is it a Wales holiday. Really don't know who St. David was.
I am really surprised m by the number of saints the English craft magazines are mentioned.
Hugs and kisses
Aunt Margaret
Hello Aunt Margaret!
ReplyDeleteWow, St. David's Day in an English magazine? I am shocked and impressed. St. David's Day is a real holiday. Apparently, people get dressed up and there are parades. St. David, according to legend, built a church on a site where he saw smoke rising. This angered a pagan king. As he went to attack David, the king was turned to stone! Once the king repented, he was turned into a human again.
Life Lesson: Don't anger a Celtic Saint!
